FLAVOR SYRUP

Angers, Giffard's hometown Angers is a town rich in nature, located about 300 km southwest of Paris in the Anjou region of France. Located west of the Loire Valley, dotted with famous castles, the town retains traces of the Middle Ages. The Anjou region is a thriving agricultural region, especially in the production of fruit, and is also famous for its wine production, with Anjou wine being the third largest producer in France.
The beginning of Giffard
It was a scorching hot summer in France in 1885. While studying plants and their digestive properties, pharmacist Emile Giffard noticed Mitcham mint, a mint native to England. He developed a liqueur called "Mante Pastille" with a strong aroma and a clear, fresh taste, and thus "Giffard" was born.
Dedication to ingredients and cultivated technology <br>We create products that value the natural flavors and colors, and are mindful of using natural colorings to express the "gentle taste" that is the original quality of the ingredients. Giffard's passion for ingredients will continue to be passed down.
GIFFARD SAINT-LEGER-DES-BOIS
In 2017, a syrup production facility was opened in Saint-Leger-des-bois, close to the headquarters. It was designed by the famous Angers-born architect Frédéric Rolland, and is based on the theme of respect for nature and harmony with the environment.
