The history of Ogawa Coffee and Los Alpes Farm in El Salvador

One of the farms that Ogawa Coffee came across 20 years ago while visiting and working with coffee farms around the world was El Salvador Los Alpes Farm. In 2003, El Salvador Los Alpes Farm won the Cup of Excellence, the first coffee competition held in the country. Ogawa Coffee was the sole bidder for the award, and this marked the start of our relationship with El Salvador Los Alpes Farm. The following year, the farm owner, Aida Battle, visited Ogawa Coffee for the first time and deepened our relationship by offering coffee directly to customers at our directly managed stores. In 2006, we released "Aida Grand Reserve," and used the sales revenue to support the recovery of coffee farms that had reduced production after the eruption of the Santa Ana volcano in El Salvador in 2005. Even now, Ogawa Coffee buyers regularly visit the farm and continue to work with farm owner Aida Battle to deliver delicious coffee.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of starting trading with Los Alpes Farm, we will be selling a limited quantity of drip coffee in a limited edition package.
It has a gorgeous aroma like hibiscus, a bright acidity like yellow peach, and a rich flavor like honey.
In order to allow you to easily enjoy the flavor that makes the most of the original characteristics of the beans that Ogawa Coffee seeks, we use a generous 15g of coffee per cup (compared to our other products).
