The Ogawa Coffee series was started with the concept of "Specialty store coffee created by Kyoto coffee artisans". It uses "ARK", a special bean that meets our unique standards in pursuit of authentic flavors from coffee-producing regions, and is made using an after-mix method that makes the most of the beans' individuality to deliver fragrant tradition and high-quality flavor.


What is Ogawa Coffee's exclusive beans, ARK?
ARK has met our unique standards. This is proof that the beans are suitable for use at Ogawa Coffee.
In order to continue to provide delicious coffee to as many people as possible, we examine whether the ingredients we use match the taste we are after and whether we can deliver them to our customers in a stable manner, repeatedly exchanging samples until we find something that meets our standards.
We also value our connections with coffee-producing countries, especially with our "producers," and we constantly strive to achieve better quality by discussing the matter until both parties are satisfied.


What is the after-mix method?
Rather than roasting blended beans with different characteristics in the same way, we roast them separately to bring out the condition and flavor characteristics of the beans to the fullest.
Furthermore, the same type of beans are roasted to different depths to bring out subtle differences in their personalities and give the beans their own unique flavor and aroma before being blended together.
