Ogawa Coffee is focusing on activities to protect the natural environment of the earth and activities to maintain a sustainable society for the future of delicious coffee, as part of the "What can we do with a cup of coffee?" One of these is the Orangutan Coffee Project. We started selling Orangutan Coffee for the first time in Asia in 2017 , and through coffee, we have been thinking about protecting the natural environment where animals live and the future of delicious coffee.
Orangutan Coffee Month
We will be holding a variety of events to coincide with International Orangutan Day on August 19th , with the aim of focusing on the current situation of orangutans, who are at risk of extinction due to the decline of their habitat in the tropical rainforests, and encouraging everyone to think and learn about environmental issues together.
What is the Orangutan Coffee Project?
Delicious coffee leads to the protection of the tropical rainforests inhabited by the endangered Sumatran orangutans and Tapanuli orangutans. "Orangutan Coffee" is a project supported by various coffee professionals to support the conservation of Sumatran orangutans and Indonesia's tropical rainforests through coffee, and to support coffee producers who cultivate with consideration for the environment.

However, their ecology is still shrouded in mystery, so this time we will learn about the ecology and habitat of orangutans while also thinking about protecting the natural environment. This is an online event that can be participated in by children and adults alike.
